Our Story
A neighborhood cafe, made slowly.
Kami opened in Kondapur with a simple promise: to bake bread the way it should be baked, pull espresso the way it should be pulled, and make everyone who walks in feel a little more at home.

Kami began as an idea between Disha Arora and a very good croissant. The croissant came first — a memory from a small bakery abroad, one with butter so pronounced it seemed to hum. The idea followed naturally: Kondapur needed a place where that kind of care was everyday, not exotic.
The cafe opened in Raghavendra Colony in 2023 and, on popular demand, has since moved into a bigger home just next door — the third floor of Artham's Arcade, above Vijaya Diagnostics. Nothing about it is showy — the room is calm, the light is good, and the counter is where the drama lives. Pastries proof overnight in the back; the espresso machine is calibrated twice a day; the sourdough starter, we're told, has a name.
Our menu spans the day. Mornings are for shakshuka, avocado toast, and a strong flat white. Afternoons lean toward truffle pastas, sandwiches on our own bread, and — always — something new on the dessert counter. Evenings soften into wine glasses, tarts and long conversations.
We source produce weekly from local farms, chocolate from Belgium and single-origin beans from the Araku Valley. Nothing is complicated for the sake of it. Everything is checked twice.

A Note from Disha Arora
"I wanted Kami to feel like walking into a friend's kitchen — except the friend happens to make an exceptional tart."
Every recipe on this menu has been tested until we couldn't improve it. Every supplier has been visited. Every member of the team has been trained by hand. What arrives at your table is our best on that day.
Thank you for choosing to spend your morning, afternoon or evening with us.

What we care about.
01
Craft
Long ferments, weighed measurements, and recipes we keep tuning. Nothing rushed for the sake of speed.
02
Seasonality
The dessert counter changes as the fruit does. Our salads follow the market. The menu breathes.
03
Warmth
Good service isn't formal, it's attentive. We remember your order and we're glad you came.
